About

I paint watercolors expressively to celebrate the joys of our world, to pour color and beauty onto paper/canvas.

I simply love to paint.  I continue to explore many ways to paint in watercolors and other other mediums.  There are so many techniques to try - you will see variety in my work because I enjoy the journey of being an artist - so many ways to create!  Watercolor is versatile, immediate.   Artists consider it to be harder than oil painting...one must work sensitively and intuitively.  You may find my work at Village Artisans Gallery in Yellow Springs - a co-op gallery on the corner of Dayton St and Corry St.  I also do exhibits at the Winds Cafe, Seasons Restaurant, YS Brewery, Open Studios Tour, etc.

Often, I am asked to give away artwork for fundraisers (which I do, if I am able to).  I have donated to Childrens Hospital Dayton, Owen's handicap=accesable Play Place, Little Art Theatre, First Presbyterian YS, Glen Helen, Antioch School, The Riding Center - YS, Community Food Initiatives in Athens and Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse, etc.

I belong to the Ohio Plein Air Society and love to paint on site. I also exhibit with and belong to W. Ohio Watercolor, Fairborn Art Assoc., Ohio Watercolor Soc.,  American Watercolor Society.  The Monday Morning Artist Group that I facilitate meets the first monday of the month at First Presbyterian in Yellow Springs, 9:30-noon...come paint/create!
